Role: Junior Architect

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Architect to join our team in Montclair, NJ. This is a full-time, on-site position that offers a fantastic opportunity to grow within a collaborative architectural environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in various architectural design projects from inception to completion.
  • Assist in the development of comprehensive and detailed project plans, ensuring alignment with project goals and client expectations.
  • Ensure the successful integration of architectural designs with client requirements, translating visions into tangible solutions.
  • Contribute significantly to meticulous project documentation, maintaining accurate records throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate effectively with the project management team to ensure seamless project execution and timely delivery.
  • Support various aspects of the architectural process, including concept development, design iterations, and final execution.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders and senior architects, providing support and contributing to the delivery of high-quality architectural solutions.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong foundation in architectural principles and a passion for design.

  • Proficiency in Architecture and Architectural Design: Demonstrated understanding of design principles, building codes, and construction methods.
  • Project Management Collaboration: Ability to assist and collaborate on project management tasks, including the creation of project plans, timelines, and schedules.
  • Software Acumen: Familiarity with Software Development and Integration concepts as they apply to modern architectural projects (e.g., BIM integration, data management).
  • Detail-Oriented & Problem Solver: Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Communication & Teamwork: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with strong team collaboration capabilities.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field is required.
  • Experience (Plus): Prior experience in architectural design and project assistance will be considered a significant advantage.
  • Software Proficiency (Preferred): Proficiency in relevant architectural software tools and design applications (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite) is preferred.
