Overview
As a Retail Leadership intern, you will gain hands-on experience overseeing the operational and personnel aspects of an assigned retail location. This role emphasizes delivering exceptional guest service, maintaining a pristine shop environment, and actively developing team members. You will be instrumental in ensuring smooth daily operations, compliance with company policies, and fostering a positive work atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all operational and personnel aspects of your assigned retail location.
- Provide quality Guest Service to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Maintain a well-maintained shop appearance through diligent upkeep and cleanliness.
- Train team members in their job responsibilities, ensuring proper execution of tasks.
- Maintain Guest First Service standards within your assigned locations.
- Develop team members through on-the-job training and follow-up on daily tasks.
- Assign daily tasks to team members for efficient workflow.
- Follow and enforce all POS handling procedures, including executing returns, exchanges, and voids.
- Assist in developing and promoting a high morale, positive, and effective work environment.
- Enforce all Park and Department policies to ensure compliance.
- Coach, counsel, and evaluate team members as necessary for performance improvement.
- Issue corrective action to team members for attendance, cash over/shorts, or performance issues when required.
- Complete all inventory control functions, including verifying receivers, ticketing, processing damages, and transfers.
- Maintain stockrooms and cash wraps in an organized manner, complying with all safety standards and regulations.
- Ensure all store displays and focal presentations are clean and well stocked.
- Coordinate break times in adherence to Six Flags policies.
- Adhere to park attendance policy as stated in the Team Member Handbook.
- Assist in the completion of all department paperwork.
- Maintain and ensure all opening and closing checklists are completed as directed.
- Assist with the execution of unit loss prevention measures.
- Comply with all Safety and Fire responsibilities, policies, and procedures.
- Promote and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Report all pertinent information to Full-time leadership.
- Follow delegated tasks as assigned by Area supervisor and Full-time leadership.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to maintain Guest First Service standards.
- Experience in team member development through effective training and follow-up.
- Proficiency in assigning daily tasks and managing workflow.
- Strong understanding of POS handling procedures, including returns, exchanges, and voids.
- A knack for developing and promoting a high morale, positive, and effective work environment.
- Ability to enforce all Park and Department policies consistently.
- Skilled in coaching, counseling, and evaluating team members.
- Capable of issuing corrective action for attendance, cash handling, or performance issues.
