Role Overview

As a Supplier Quality & Purchasing Assistant, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our supplier quality processes and driving continuous improvement. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with relevant Supplier Quality Engineers (SQEs) to develop efficient reporting and processes using data analytics, specifically for executing supplier quality activities.
  • Assisting assigned SQEs in driving improvement initiatives with applicable suppliers, focusing on process optimization and defect reduction.
  • Supporting the Supplier Quality & Purchasing team in the management of supplier non-conformities, working to identify root causes and drive effective resolution strategies.
  • Monitoring and publishing key supplier quality metrics to enhance visibility across the organization and inform strategic decisions.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

  • Education: Currently enrolled in a Master’s program for Industrial Engineering, Construction Management, Supply Chain, or other relevant majors.
  • Graduation Date: Expected graduation date between December 2026 and May 2027.
  • Skills: Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Software Proficiency: Practical experience with data analytic software (e.g., Power BI, Spotfire).
  • ERP Systems: Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle or SAP) is a plus.
  • Eligibility: Must be a US person.
  • Experience: Previous direct or indirect exposure to a manufacturing environment.
  • Quality Knowledge: Some exposure to Quality Management principles and tools.

Compensation

The compensation for this role is $29-33 per hour.
