Cvent offers a robust paid internship program designed to provide students with invaluable hands-on experience and direct mentorship. This program is tailored to support professional development and career growth, preparing students for success post-graduation. Interns gain exposure to the inner workings of an industry-leading software company and take ownership of projects that directly contribute to Cvent’s ongoing success. There is a strong possibility that interns may receive an offer for full-time employment upon college graduation.
Product Design Intern Role at Cvent
As a Product Design Intern, you will join a dynamic department of over 100 designers, contributing to products that span every stage of the event journey. You will be welcomed into a small, feature-specific team and paired with a dedicated mentor who will guide your learning and development.
This role offers a significant opportunity to make an impact by owning a project from its initial problem definition through to solution delivery. You will gain exposure to every facet of the design process, including crucial areas such as user research and content design. You will learn to effectively advocate for users at each step, sharpen your existing strengths, and receive targeted feedback to identify and develop areas for growth.
Ideal Candidates Will:
Key Skills & Attributes:
- Demonstrate empathy and passion for creating simple, intuitive, and truly helpful user experiences.
- Possess a strong working knowledge of building wireframes and interactive prototypes using Figma. Familiarity with auto-layout is a must.
- Be familiar with effectively utilizing a design system comprising simple components and patterns.
- Actively participate in design critiques and be capable of facilitating discovery workshops.
- Articulate design decisions clearly and confidently present designs, always keeping the user at the forefront.
- Exhibit a keen eye for detail, being observant and meticulous in all design work.
- Show a strong eagerness to learn and be genuinely open to receiving and incorporating feedback.
- Have a demonstrable interest in accessibility, content design, and user research.
Required Qualifications & Logistics:
- Must be a full-time college student with a projected graduation date of Spring/Summer 2027.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week for 10 weeks, specifically from June to August 2026.
- Ability to commute to our headquarters in Tysons Corner, VA.
- A portfolio showcasing at least one completed UX/product design project is required.
