Job Title: Therapist Intern
Summary:
The Therapist Intern plays a crucial role in developing, coordinating, and facilitating direct social services to assigned patients and their families. This position operates under the direct guidance of a manager and may involve working in diverse acute care settings, including inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient services.
Key Responsibilities & Job Duties:
- Provide social services to patients and their families/significant others.
- Complete all required documentation within the stipulated timeframe.
- Ensure discharge documentation is completed as required and on time.
- Offer leadership and guidance in the implementation of clinical interventions.
- Maintain professional and accurate communication with all stakeholders.
- Demonstrate a strong interdisciplinary approach, fostering effective communication among team members.
- Actively participate in site committees.
- Prioritize and ensure patient safety and the safety of the facility.
- This internship, in partnership with your university, may include duties related to cognitive behavioral therapies in addition to social services. Specific details of the experience will be collaboratively developed by Rogers and your university.
Education/Training Requirements:
- Possession of a completed Bachelor’s Degree.
- Currently enrolled in a Master’s Degree program in Social Work or Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of therapeutic intervention and techniques suitable for all age groups, alongside an understanding of the dynamics of human growth and behavior.
- Successful completion of all Rogers onboarding training coursework is mandatory prior to the start date.
- Formal training in the management of the aggressive patient (NCI) is required within sixty (60) days of placement, with annual re-certification provided by Rogers.
- Successful completion of pre-placement background checks through the Rogers system.
- Successful occupational health clearance from your provider.
