Our Summer Intern Program offers an exceptional opportunity to collaborate with our teams, create technical capabilities, and build new tools, all while engaging with a cohort of fellow interns. BlackLynx is seeking motivated interns to develop skills applicable to real-life products at both our Chantilly and Rockville, MD locations.
Founded in 2018, BlackLynx has assembled Subject Matter Experts across three product lines that address emerging commercial and Intelligence Community (IC) needs. We operate independently as BlackLynx, a subsidiary of Jacobs, maintaining our identity as a small business while benefiting from the resources of a large company. By joining BlackLynx, you will make a tangible impact by helping us solve real-life challenges.
This is a paid, full-time, temporary position, compensated by the hour.
Internship Opportunities Across Teams:

Modeling and Simulation Team (Chantilly, VA):
- Seeking aerospace/software engineers.
- Help test and deploy a full-stack instance of a custom tool suite to model next-generation capabilities (Python-based).
- Learn from Intelligence Community (IC) experts in a fast-paced environment.

Spacecraft Design Team (Rockville, MD):
- Seeking ADCS/aerospace engineers.
- Help develop an in-house product focused on ADCS/GNC simulation, orbital mechanics, and space phenomena.
- Work with embedded systems and software, ideally with some experience in MATLAB/Simulink.

Sensor Processing Team (Rockville, MD):
- Seeking computer scientists, computer, and electrical engineers.
- Help develop and test next-generation software and electronic hardware systems.
- Applications include AI, signal processing, circuit card design, FPGA-based digital logic design, and embedded software.
- Learn from IC community experts in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Ability to work Onsite in Chantilly, VA, or Rockville, MD.
- Must be in pursuit of a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering from an accredited program.
- Anticipated graduation date in 2027 or 2028.
