Overview:
The Retail Leadership Intern position offers a dynamic opportunity to develop future leaders by providing hands-on experience in the comprehensive management of a retail location within a vibrant park environment. This role is crucial for ensuring operational excellence, exceptional guest service, effective team development, and adherence to all company standards and policies. As an intern, you will gain invaluable experience overseeing daily operations, personnel management, visual merchandising, and inventory control, all while contributing to a positive and engaging retail experience.

Responsibilities:
Operational Management: Oversee all daily operational aspects of an assigned retail location, ensuring smooth and efficient store functioning.
Personnel Leadership: Manage and lead a team of retail associates, including assigning daily tasks, coordinating breaks, and fostering a productive work environment.
Guest Service Excellence: Provide and ensure consistent quality Guest Service, upholding “Guest First” standards at all times to enhance the visitor experience.
Team Member Development: Drive team member growth through comprehensive on-the-job training and ongoing follow-up training on daily tasks and procedures.
Performance Management: Coach, counsel, and evaluate team members as necessary, and issue corrective action for attendance, cash handling discrepancies (over/shorts), or performance issues.
Policy Enforcement: Rigorously follow and enforce all Park and Department policies, including POS handling procedures, executing returns, exchanges, and voids with precision.
Inventory Control: Execute all inventory control functions, including verifying receivers, accurate ticketing, managing damages, and processing transfers.
Visual Merchandising & Store Standards: Maintain a well-maintained shop appearance, ensuring all store displays and focal presentations are clean, well-stocked, and visually appealing.
Safety & Organization: Maintain stockrooms and cash wraps in an organized manner, ensuring full compliance with all safety standards and regulations.
Administrative Support: Assist in the completion of all department paperwork, maintain and ensure all opening and closing checklists are completed as directed, and assist with unit loss prevention measures.
Communication & Reporting: Report all pertinent operational and personnel information to Full-time leadership and diligently follow delegated tasks as assigned by Area Supervisor and Full-time leadership.
Safety & Compliance: Comply with all Safety and Fire responsibilities, policies, and procedures, actively promoting and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Adhere strictly to the park attendance policy as stated in the Team Member Handbook.

Qualifications:
• Demonstrated commitment to maintaining “Guest First” Service standards within an assigned retail location.
• Proven ability in team member development through effective on-the-job training and follow-up on daily tasks.
• Experience in assigning daily tasks and coordinating break times in adherence to company policies.
• Proficiency in following and enforcing all POS handling procedures, including the accurate execution of returns, exchanges, and voids.
• A strong ability to assist in developing and promoting a high morale, positive, and effective work environment.
• Responsible for enforcing all Park and Department policies and procedures.
• Capable of effectively coaching, counseling, and evaluating team members.
• Ability to issue corrective action to team members for attendance, cash handling discrepancies (over/shorts), or performance as necessary.
• Competence in completing all inventory control functions, including verifying receivers, ticketing, managing damages, and processing transfers.
• Skill in maintaining stockrooms and cash wraps in an organized manner, ensuring compliance with all safety standards and regulations.
• A keen eye for ensuring all store displays and focal presentations are clean, well-stocked, and appealing.
• Adherence to park attendance policy as stated in the Team Member Handbook.
• Capability to assist in the completion of all department paperwork and ensure all opening and closing checklists are completed as directed.
• Experience assisting with the execution of unit loss prevention measures.
• Commitment to complying with all Safety and Fire responsibilities, policies, and procedures, promoting and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Strong communication skills to report all pertinent information effectively to Full-time leadership and follow delegated tasks as assigned by Area Supervisor and Full-time leadership.
