Job Summary

General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) has an immediate opening for a highly motivated Business Support Intern to join our dedicated team. This position offers a unique and impactful opportunity to enhance the performance and profitability of an organization that provides fundamental defense services to our nation. The selected candidate will work within collaborative teams, actively contributing to and executing various aspects of programs, strategy, and growth initiatives, particularly within the critical Secure Network & Voice Products domain.

This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience and skill development, working directly with a group of our Senior Leadership and functional professionals. Interns will gain valuable insights into the operational aspects of a leading defense contractor while enjoying a supportive and flexible work environment.

Key Responsibilities

As a Business Support Intern, you will play a crucial role in supporting high-performing program teams by:

• Performing essential administrative, analytical, and research activities directly supporting Secure Network & Voice Products programs.
• Ensuring that relevant performance data is readily available, accurately reported, and thoroughly understood, aiding in strategic decision-making.
• Actively supporting and engaging in programs, projects, and practices that align with the overarching GDMS culture and strategy, while strictly complying with all company policies and procedures.
• Collaborating with diverse teams to execute aspects of programs, strategy, and growth initiatives.
• Contributing to the overall enhancement of organizational performance and profitability.

Required Qualifications

Candidates for this internship must meet the following basic qualifications:

• Education: Must be currently enrolled in an accredited degree program. A strong preference is given to candidates pursuing degrees in Engineering, Finance, Business Administration, or Mathematics.
• Business Acumen: Demonstrate a thorough understanding of business principles.
• Citizenship: Due to the nature of the work performed within our facilities and access to classified information, U.S. citizenship is strictly required.
• Security Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
• Critical Thinking: Possess excellent critical thinking skills.
• Communication: Exhibit strong and clear communication abilities.

Compensation

The target salary range for this position is USD $22.00/Hr. – USD $27.00/Hr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience, academic progress, and other factors (e.g., geographic location). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
