About The Role: Studio Production Finance Intern – Live-Action Films

The Studio Production Finance department plays a critical role in the financial stewardship of Disney’s entire live-action slate, ensuring responsible and strategic management from concept to completion. We are actively seeking a highly motivated and talented intern to join our dynamic team and support the full life-cycle financial management of these high-profile productions.

What You Will Do:
As a Studio Production Finance Intern, you will be deeply embedded in the financial operations of our live-action film productions, contributing to critical decision-making processes and gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment. Your responsibilities will include:
- Comprehensive Financial Analysis: Dive into complex financial data to provide insightful analysis related to historical spending trends, future spend forecasts, and the intricate world of domestic and international production incentives. You will also contribute to the meticulous review and analysis of feature film budgets, helping to ensure financial efficiency and strategic resource allocation.
- Feature Film Budgeting & Forecasting: Play a vital role in the core financial planning of our productions. You will assist in the development of detailed feature film budgets and contribute to the ongoing forecasting of production costs, providing essential support for financial stability and successful project delivery.
- Executive Support & Ad Hoc Projects: Provide essential day-to-day support to senior executives within the Production Finance department. You will also have the unique opportunity to build and execute ad hoc financial projects for studio leadership, allowing you to develop problem-solving skills and contribute directly to strategic initiatives.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
To thrive in this role, candidates must possess a strong foundation in finance and a keen aptitude for analytical work, coupled with exceptional communication abilities:
- Advanced Proficiency in Data & Reporting Tools: Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. A strong command of data visualization and business intelligence platforms such as PowerBI, Tableau, and/or MicroStrategy is highly preferred, indicating your ability to work with large datasets and present complex information clearly.
- Exceptional Communication Skills: Proven strength in both oral and written communication, essential for interacting with various stakeholders, articulating financial insights, and drafting clear, concise reports.
- Strong Presentation Acumen: Demonstrated proven presentation skills, enabling you to effectively convey financial information and analysis to diverse audiences, including senior leadership.
- Prior Entertainment Industry Experience: Previous experience within the entertainment industry is a mandatory requirement, indicating a foundational understanding of the unique dynamics and operational nuances of film or television production.

- Hands-on Production Experience: Previous direct experience in film or television production, providing a practical understanding of filmmaking logistics and how financial decisions impact on-set operations.
Education:
- Currently pursuing a graduate degree or MBA with a dedicated focus in Entertainment Finance or a closely related financial discipline from an accredited college or university.
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information:
Candidates for this exciting opportunity MUST meet all of the following strict requirements:
- Be currently enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree and taking at least one class at the time of application, OR be currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
- For current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: Please note that you may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
- Be at least 18 years of age at the time of application.
- Possess unrestricted work authorization in the United States for the duration of the internship.
Additional Information:
- Availability: Must provide full work availability from June through August 2026.
- Location & Logistics: This position is located in Burbank, CA. Successful candidates will be responsible for providing their own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship.
- Compensation: The pay rate for this role in California is $30.40 per hour.
