About the Sales Development Representative Intern Role
This internship is an excellent opportunity for career-driven students to step into the world of corporate sales. Like full-time Sales Development Representatives, interns are expected to be quick-thinking, proactive in assisting their teams, and willing to contribute fresh ideas to established processes. Interns will receive comprehensive training to prepare them for a rewarding sales career within a Fortune 500 company.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop leads, schedule appointments, identify customer needs, and market appropriate products and services.
- Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service.
- Assist with providing product information to prospective customers.
- Facilitate the identification and qualification of potential prospects.
- Drive traffic to Cvent seminars and online product demonstrations.
- Assist marketing with campaign strategies and the collection of leads.
- Create a Cvent Proposal Project to be presented to Sales Management during the end-of-summer review.
- Create PowerPoint presentations and Excel reports for sales management as needed.
- Assist Cvent’s Senior Management of Sales and Marketing by organizing and carrying out sales-related projects.
- Perform sales operations and administrative duties as needed (e.g., photocopying, scanning, printing).
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Currently enrolled in college with plans to graduate in or around May 2027 (ideally completing the summer between Junior & Senior year).
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Ability to work approximately 40 hours per week throughout the 10-week program.
- Ability to commute to Cvent’s headquarters in Tysons Corner, VA.
- Career-driven with a strong desire to prove oneself for potential full-time sales opportunities.
- Ability to think on their feet, take initiative, and contribute new ideas.
