What You’ll Do: Hands-On Experience, Real Impact

• Collaborate and Cultivate Safety Culture: Work closely with experienced safety specialists to actively promote and embed a proactive culture of safety across all on-site operations. This includes participating in risk assessments, developing preventative strategies, and ensuring compliance with industry best practices.
• Empower Through Training: Assist in the crucial task of training employees on essential safety techniques, company-specific protocols, and hazard recognition. This might involve preparing and delivering toolbox talks, assisting with new hire safety orientations, and ensuring all team members understand their role in maintaining a safe environment.
• Gain Comprehensive Field & Office Experience: Acquire practical, hands-on experience in both the bustling field environment, where you’ll observe and participate in daily safety checks and incident prevention, and the project office setting, where you’ll contribute to safety documentation, reporting, and planning.
• Contribute to Real-World Solutions: Play a vital role in identifying potential hazards, implementing corrective actions, and developing innovative solutions that directly protect workers, minimize risks, and continuously improve overall operational safety and efficiency on our diverse construction sites.

Who We’re Looking For: Your Profile for Success

• Academic Foundation: Current students who have successfully completed their sophomore or junior year in a relevant academic program such as Occupational Safety and Health, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline. Your academic background forms the bedrock of your practical application with us.
• Passionate Communicator & Learner: Individuals with strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of clearly conveying complex safety information. We seek candidates with an innate passion for continuous learning, a proactive mindset, and a forward-thinking approach to safety innovation.
• Prior Experience (Preferred): Previous construction or safety internship experience is highly preferred, demonstrating your early commitment and exposure to the industry.
• Valuable Certifications (A Plus): Possessing certifications such as OSHA 10-Hour Construction, First Aid, and CPR will significantly strengthen your application and readiness for the role, indicating a foundational understanding of critical safety practices.
• Bilingual Advantage: Spanish bilingual skills are a significant bonus! Given the diverse workforce on many of our sites, the ability to communicate effectively in Spanish can greatly enhance safety communication and understanding.
