Job Summary:
McMillan Pazdan Smith is seeking creative, innovative, and talented Summer Interns to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to experience working with a larger firm that maintains a small, family feel during the summer months. Interns will gain hands-on experience in a collaborative environment.

A Day in the Life of a Summer Intern:
Summer architectural and interior design interns will engage in a variety of challenging assignments across all project phases, from conceptual design through construction documentation. Interns will work in a collaborative, hands-on environment, gaining exposure to a wide range of design experiences.

Key Responsibilities and Learning Opportunities:

  • Contribute to projects through various phases, from conceptual design to construction documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with design teams.
  • Absorb new concepts and apply them quickly.
  • Produce high-quality design work.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Must have completed at least their second year of undergrad or higher in an accredited architecture or interior design program.
  • Mindset:
    • Curious & creative (primary requirement).
    • Strong desire to produce good design.
  • Skills:
    • Demonstrated innovative design solutions.
    • Excellent time management skills.
    • Ability to absorb new concepts quickly.
    • Clear communication skills.
    • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
  • Software Proficiency: Familiarity with a variety of industry-related software, including:
    • Autodesk Revit
    • Microsoft Office Suite
    • Adobe Creative Suite

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous internship experience in an architectural firm (not required).
