The Position: 2026 Summer Intern – Finance Insights and Data Analyst (Tucson)
Department Summary: Finance’s Unique Contribution
The Finance department at Roche defines its unique contribution to patients through a comprehensive framework, serving in four key capacities:
- Connecting the dots as entrepreneurs: Leveraging an enterprise-wide view to drive strategy, innovation, efficiencies, and optimal resource allocation. This involves balancing risks and benefits with deep Finance expertise, exercising caution with smart risk-taking, demonstrating resilience, and ensuring financial sustainability. Like entrepreneurs, Finance professionals are expected to be curious, own the business, and focus on impact.
- Owning processes and systems end-to-end: Utilizing an in-depth understanding of the entire value chain to lead process harmonization, simplification, and standardization across core business processes.
- Serving as guardians for our stakeholders: Providing transparency and compliance to enable business opportunities, safeguard Roche’s assets, and protect the company’s right to operate.
- Providing specialist expertise: Maintaining ongoing mastery of fundamental Finance principles and practices.
This position is based in Tucson, AZ, and is an On-Site role.
The Opportunity: What You Will Do
As a 2026 Summer Intern in Finance Insights and Data Analysis, you will be involved in crucial financial activities, gaining hands-on experience and contributing to strategic decision-making. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in financial analysis and forecasting related to expense, headcount, inventory, and capital expenditure to support strategic decision-making processes.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and provide valuable insights for budgeting and planning purposes.
- Conducting research on market trends, industry competitors, and emerging opportunities to inform and support financial analysis.
- Assisting in the preparation of financial reports, presentations, and documentation.
- Contributing to the optimization of financial processes and systems.
- Collaborating with senior finance professionals to learn and apply financial principles and best practices within a leading biotechnology company.
- Supporting ad-hoc finance projects as assigned, providing valuable contributions to the team.
Program Highlights
This internship offers a robust and enriching experience:
- An intensive 12-weeks, full-time (40 hours per week) paid internship.
- Program start dates are scheduled for May/June 2026.
- A stipend, determined by location, will be provided to help alleviate costs associated with the internship.
- You will have ownership of challenging and impactful business-critical projects.

Who You Are (Requirements)
Required Education: You must meet one of the following criteria:
- Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree (enrolled student / completed at least 2 years of college/university).
- Required majors: Finance, Accounting, Business, or Economics.
Required Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an acute attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- A growth-minded, curious learner who finds accomplishment in dealing with complexity reduction, simplification, and exploring new paths.

Compensation & Benefits
The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Tucson, AZ is $21 – $26/hour. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position also qualifies for paid holiday time off benefits.
