The NorthPoint Development Internship Program offers an intensive and immersive 8-10 week experience, meticulously designed to plunge students into the dynamic and fast-paced realm of real estate and development. What You’ll Do: Key Responsibilities & Learning Opportunities

As a Development/Construction Management Intern, you will play an integral role in various stages of our projects, gaining comprehensive insights into the development lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include:

Assist with Project Due Diligence:
• Conduct in-depth market research to identify trends, competitive landscapes, and potential opportunities or risks for new projects.
• Support the creation of preliminary budgeting, assisting with cost estimations, financial modeling basics, and resource allocation for proposed developments.
Help Track Development Schedules and Update Timelines:
• Actively monitor project progress against established timelines, utilizing project management tools and methodologies.
• Assist in identifying critical path items and updating project schedules to reflect changes, ensuring all stakeholders are informed of key milestones and potential delays.
Coordinate and Gather Bids for Pre-Construction Activities:
• Engage with potential vendors and contractors, soliciting competitive bids for various pre-construction services, materials, and specialized trades.
• Assist in organizing and evaluating bid submissions, ensuring adherence to project specifications and budgetary constraints.
Support Permit Applications and Organize Documentation for Approvals:
• Collaborate with the team to prepare and submit necessary documentation for local, state, and federal permits and approvals.
• Maintain meticulous organization of all permit-related paperwork, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and facilitating smooth project progression.
Contribute to Project Reporting and Participate in Team Meetings:
• Assist in compiling and drafting regular project reports, including progress updates, status summaries, and performance metrics for internal and external stakeholders.
• Actively participate in team meetings, offering insights, taking notes, and contributing to strategic discussions on project challenges and solutions.
