Position Overview

F.H. Paschen offers a robust Internship Program designed to provide students pursuing curriculums within construction or the broader built environment with valuable knowledge and work experience, giving them an advantage upon graduation. This Construction Intern role is primarily a summer position, where interns will work directly with a project team to gain hands-on experience in preparation for a career in Construction Project Management.

Intern placements can span various stages of a project, from pre-construction all the way through to project closeout.

Pay: $22 – $24/hr.

Essential Duties And Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities for the Construction Intern may include, but will not be limited to:

• Subcontractor Solicitation
• Quantity Takeoffs
• Project Documentation
• Field Coordination and Supervision
• Material Logs
• Project Reports
• Correspondence Management
• Reviewing and determining suitability of Shop Drawings and Submittals
• Tracking status of Change Orders
• Tracking status of Requests for Information (RFIs)
• Collecting, verifying, and distributing As-Builts
• Blueprint Reading
• Assisting with Close Out Documentation

Requirements

• Education: Candidates should be currently enrolled in Engineering, Construction, Architecture, Business, or related majors within the built environment.
• Technical Skills: Knowledge of technology related to construction, such as Blue Beam, Revit, and Procore, is required.
• Communication: Strong written and oral communication skills are essential.
• Computer Applications (Preferred): Experience with computer applications for spreadsheets, word processing, and scheduling is preferred.
