This role is for an Internal Communications Visual Designer Intern within the Global Internal Communications team. The primary focus is on creating compelling visual content to engage and inform Seagate’s global workforce.

Role Overview:
The intern will be a key contributor to internal communication efforts, focusing on developing high-quality visual communications that align with Seagate’s brand and effectively convey messages to a diverse employee audience. This involves a strong collaborative approach and an ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging visual stories across various channels.

Key Responsibilities:
Visual Communication Development: Collaborate closely with teammates and global stakeholders to develop creative and effective visual solutions for complex communication problems, ensuring alignment with Seagate’s brand and identity standards.
Audience-Centric Design: Employ an audience-centric approach to interpret client needs and communication strategies, translating them into mockups and functional visuals that resonate with program themes and brand guidelines.
Multi-Channel Content Creation: Produce high-quality visual concepts for diverse multi-channel campaigns. This includes designing:
• Fact sheets
• Infographics
• Newsletters
• Presentations
• Web content
• Articles
• Email messages
• Videos
• Posters
• Digital signs
• Social media content
• And other visual assets.
Project and Delivery Management: Proactively and flexibly manage the timely delivery of all design assets, overseeing client requests, revisions, final approvals, and publishing processes.
Strategic Improvement: Explore and provide recommendations on strategies to enhance the reach and impact of Seagate’s internal communications.
General Support: Contribute to additional team projects as needed, which may include tasks such as event management (virtual and on-site), content creation and publishing, survey administration, web content management, user experience research, and reporting campaign metrics.

Required Skills & Attributes:

Educational Background:
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program studying Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, Advertising, Public Relations, or a related field.
• Must be returning to school in Fall 2026 after the internship.

Technical Skills & Experience:
Visual Design Understanding: Proven understanding of how visual design contributes to overall brand identity.
Software Proficiency:
Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, PowerPoint, Word.
Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro.
Multi-Channel Expertise: Familiarity with multi-channel communications environments and proficiency in producing visual assets optimized for various digital and print channels.
Platform Versatility: Ability to design using both Apple and/or personal computer (PC) platforms.

Preferred Skills & Experience (Not Required, but a Plus):
International/Tech Company Experience: Experience working for international companies, especially within technology, science, and engineering environments.
Communications Role Experience: Experience in an internal communications, employee communications, or public relations role.
Microsoft Enterprise Tools: Experience with Microsoft enterprise collaboration tools such as SharePoint, Viva Engage, Teams, and Forms.
Video Production: Experience with video production, including content capture, motion graphics, and post-production.
UX/Web Administration: Knowledge of user experience (UX) design, website administration, and content management systems (CMS).
HR Background: A background in Human Resources or a general understanding of HR programs, standards, and practices.

Location:
The position can be based at Seagate’s Longmont product-design campus in Colorado, which offers an active on-site experience with amenities like an on-site cafeteria, barista, 1-mile walking path, sports facilities, 24-hour fitness center, and employee resource groups.

Compensation and Benefits:
Estimated Base Wage Range: $22.00 – $24.00 per hour.
Individual Wage Factors: The base wage is determined by work location and additional factors such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Intern Benefits: Seagate offers comprehensive benefits to eligible Interns, including medical, dental, vision, and participation in the employee stock purchase plan. Interns also receive 12 paid holidays and a minimum of 48 hours of paid sick leave.
Benefit Basis: Benefits are typically based on a 24 to 40-hour-per-week schedule for a full calendar year and may vary depending on work location and tenure.
