Job Description

The Daily Beast is seeking an Editorial Intern for its Obsessed section, a full-time, on-site position in New York. This internship is open to undergraduate juniors and seniors, graduate students, and post-graduates, and is designed to provide emerging journalists with valuable hands-on experience and insight into newsroom operations.

Role Details:
• Position: Editorial Intern, The Daily Beast’s Obsessed
• Location: On-site in New York, New York, United States
• Employment Type: Intern
• Duration: Full-time (37.5 hours/week) for three-month periods.
• Start Date: Candidates are sought to start in January 2026.
• Compensation: $18.50 USD per hour.

Qualifications:
• Experience: Prior experience in writing and reporting stories focused on entertainment and pop culture.
• Knowledge: A voracious news diet, specifically with a strong focus on celebrity, television, film, and Hollywood news.
• Technical Skills (Plus): Prior knowledge of web publishing platforms and experience using a content management system (CMS) is advantageous.
• Work Ethic: Comfort and proficiency in meeting quick deadlines.
