About The Role: Front End Software Engineer Intern

As a Front End Software Engineer Intern at Talos, you will contribute to the development of Talos’s new portfolio management system (PMS). This platform is built from scratch to address the unique challenges of the digital asset market, operating at the intersection of crypto and capital markets. The systems are characterized as high-performance reactive systems, with a focus on delivering solutions quickly to keep pace with the evolving digital asset space.

The engineering team prioritizes building great systems, dedicating time to ensure the safety, security, and performance of the platform. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively are highly valued. While trading systems experience is preferred, it is not a mandatory requirement.

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Collaborate with the team to design, implement, test, and deploy high-performance user interfaces.
• Work with the product team to deliver solutions that support the full investment lifecycle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gain a comprehensive understanding of Talos’s execution and settlement product in the digital asset ecosystem.
• Engage in ongoing learning and exploration of industry trends and advancements related to execution and settlement processes in the digital asset space.
• Be part of an open and transparent culture.

Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related field, with an expected graduation in the Class of 2027.
• Experience in React, Angular, or Vue.js, with a solid understanding of web-based frameworks. Talos specifically uses React.
• Bonus points for familiarity with TypeScript, Redux, or RxJS.
• Demonstrated development experience through applicable coursework, projects, or internships.
• Experience in either crypto or finance, or a strong desire to learn about these domains.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be local to New York HQ.
