This is an Internship – Project Management role, specifically designed for individuals looking to receive school credit, explore the job of a project manager, and who are passionate about planning and designing project resources.

Intern Responsibilities:

Interns will gain experience and contribute across several key areas of project management:

Project Coordination:
• Assisting with meeting scheduling, setup, logistics, and note-taking/meeting minutes.
• Helping coordinate with team members to ensure project requirements, deadlines, and schedules are on track.
• Assisting in determining the resources and tasks required for successful project execution.
• Facilitating meetings to stay on top of team needs.
• Identifying and resolving issues with team members.
Project Execution:
• Supporting the coordination and execution of projects through effective communication with team members.
• Helping with creating and implementing plans focused on attaining project goals.
• Assisting with evaluating project performance and completion to identify areas for improvement.
Resource Management and Planning:
• Supporting the allocation and tracking of project resources.
• Assisting in the development of project timelines and milestones.
• Helping monitor project progress and making adjustments as necessary.
Risk Management and Issue Resolution:
• Identifying potential project risks and helping develop mitigation strategies.
• Assisting in resolving project-related issues and conflicts.
• Supporting the implementation of corrective actions to address project deviations.
Documentation and Reporting Capabilities:
• Assisting in the preparation of project documentation, including plans, status reports, and post-project reviews.
• Helping maintain accurate and up-to-date project records.
• Contributing to the creation of presentations and reports for stakeholders.
Team Collaboration and Communication:
• Facilitating effective communication between project team members and stakeholders.
• Assisting in the organization of team-building activities and workshops.
• Supporting the use of project management tools and software to enhance team productivity.

Eligibility Requirement:
Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
• Must be currently enrolled in an educational institution and receiving school credit for the internship.
• Must be able to demonstrate that the internship is integrated with their coursework, enhancing their educational experience.
• Must fulfill specific educational requirements set by their institution, department, or major program of study.

Suggested Qualifications:
• Degree/profile in Project Management, Operations Management, Public Administration, or related fields.
• Fluent English (Bilingual is a plus).
• Business-oriented and open-minded.
• Good communication skills.
• Able to gain people’s confidence and put them at ease.
• Able to cope with pressure.
• Flexible and adaptable.

Duration, Schedule & Pay:
Duration: This is a 3-6 month unpaid internship.
Positions Available: GYB is seeking either 1 full-time intern or 2 part-time interns (one for morning shifts, one for afternoon shifts).
Shift Options: Interns can choose from the following weekly hour commitments:
• 20 hours per week for 6 months
• 30 hours per week for 4 months
• 40 hours per week for 3 months
Daily Schedule: Interns will be required to work 4 hours per day between 6 AM and 10 PM EST. There is flexibility in choosing specific hours that fit the intern’s schedule, as long as the required weekly hours are completed by Friday at 10 PM EST.
