Job Description: Tax Summer 2026 Internship – Bethesda, MD
This is an exciting career opportunity for a Tax Summer Intern to join CohnReznick’s Bethesda office.

Your Team & Support System:
• Engagement Team: Interns work closely with a team comprising other Interns, Associates, Senior Associates, Managers, Senior Managers, and Partners.
• Industries Served: The firm serves a diverse range of clients across various industries, including Consumer & Industrial, Financial Sponsors & Financial Services, Life Sciences & Healthcare, Public Sector, Real Estate, Renewable Energy, Technology & Media, and Private Client Services (client industries may vary by office).
• Office Environment: The Bethesda office provides amenities and collaborative spaces.
• Performance Coach: Interns are assigned a Performance Coach who will help establish goals, provide feedback, and support career path guidance.
• CR Friend: A designated “CR Friend” provides a familiar face and a point of contact for support upon joining the firm.
Your Role (Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To):
As a Tax Summer Intern, you will be responsible for:
• Becoming familiar with current tax theories and laws.
• Performing procedures in accordance with firm standards in an accurate, thorough, and timely manner.
• Working on a variety of client deliverables, specifically preparing tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations.
• Identifying potential tax issues.
• Preparing tax adjusting entries and tax trial balances based on audited or client-provided trial balances.
• Assisting the team with daily client workflow.

Required Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
• Plan to complete 150 credit hours between May 2026 – September 2027 to be eligible for CPA licensure.
• A minimum 3.0 GPA in both your major and overall academic performance.
• Successful completion of two accounting courses prior to the start of the internship.
• Demonstrated leadership positions in student organizations, extracurricular activities, and/or on team projects.
• Exhibit excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Able to learn in a fast-paced environment.
• Possess strong computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Work Authorization: Must provide proof of work authorization such as U.S. Citizenship or permanent residency status. CohnReznick does not offer sponsorship to foreign nationals for Entry Level Roles (new associates and interns).
Preferred Qualifications (A Plus):
• Prior work or internship experience.
