About the Job
Job Title: Pharmacist Intern
Location: Kadlec Regional Medical Center, Richland, WA
Supervision: The Pharmacist Intern operates under the direct supervision of the Assistant Director, Pharmacy.
Key Responsibilities (Detailed):
The role involves performing duties as assigned and allowable according to Washington State WACs (Washington Administrative Codes) and RCWs (Revised Code of Washington) for a pharmacy intern. These duties include, but are not limited to:
• Technical Medication Dispensing Functions: Executing these functions in full compliance with written policies and procedures.
• Medication Support Duties: A variety of clerical and mechanical tasks, such as servicing automated dispensing cabinets, repackaging medications, and preparing labels.
• Information System Data Entry: Performing data entry assignments related to medication management.
• Stock Maintenance: Managing and maintaining medication stock.
• Log and Record Keeping: Maintaining computerized logs and records.
• Medication Delivery: Delivering medications to patient care units.
• Medication Histories: Taking medication histories as assigned.
• Patient Interaction: Counseling and interviewing Kadlec Regional Medical Center (KRMC) and Kadlec Clinic (KC) patients as assigned.
• General Departmental Support: Performing other routine departmental support activities approved by a member of pharmacy leadership.

• FTE: 0.2 FTE (Full-Time Equivalent)
• Shift Pattern: Variable Shift

Required Qualifications:
• Licensure/Registration: Active progress towards a pharmacist degree, evidenced by holding a Washington Pharmacy Intern Licensure or Washington Pharmacist Intern Registration upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience: Prior Hospital Pharmacy Technician experience is preferred.
Pay Range:
• The base pay range for this position is $18.08 – $27.10 per hour.
• Additional Compensation: This role may also be eligible for additional compensation, which could include shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
