Job Description: Pharmacist Intern – Kadlec Regional Medical Center – Richland, WA

Job Title: Pharmacist Intern

Location: Kadlec Regional Medical Center, Richland, WA (On-site)

Supervision: The Pharmacist Intern operates under the direct supervision of the Assistant Director, Pharmacy.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern performs duties as assigned and permitted by Washington State WACs and RCWs for a pharmacy intern. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Medication Dispensing: Performing technical medication dispensing functions in strict compliance with written policies and procedures.
Medication Support: Executing a variety of clerical and mechanical medication support duties, such as servicing automated dispensing cabinets, repackaging medications, and preparing labels.
Data and Record Management: Handling information system data entry assignments, maintaining stock, and managing computerized logs and records.
Logistics: Delivering medications to patient care units.
Patient Interaction (as assigned): Conducting medication histories, and counseling and interviewing patients of KRMC and KC.
Departmental Support: Engaging in other routine departmental support activities approved by pharmacy leadership.

Shift Details:
Employment Type: Part-time
FTE: 0.2 FTE (equivalent to approximately 8 hours per week based on a 40-hour work week)
Shift Pattern: Variable Shift
Specifics: 0040 – No Daily Overtime 40 Hour Week (This typically indicates a specific internal shift code for a variable part-time schedule).

Required Qualifications:
Licensure: Active progress towards a pharmacist degree, evidenced by Washington Pharmacy Intern Licensure.
Upon Hire: Must possess a Washington Pharmacist License OR Washington Pharmacist Intern Registration.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Prior Hospital Pharmacy Technician experience is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits:
Pay Range: The base pay range for this role is $18.08 – $27.10 per hour.
