Job Description:
This is a Product Management Intern position for Summer 2026 within Altruist’s Investment Product team. The role is designed to provide hands-on experience in driving product innovation, focusing on enhancing trading workflows and portfolio management capabilities through cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assisting in the definition and refinement of the product vision, roadmap, and strategy for features related to trading, portfolio management, and rebalancing.
• Collaborating closely with product managers to conduct market research, gather user feedback, and identify opportunities for product improvement and innovation.
• Working alongside engineering and design teams to ensure successful product development, testing, and deployment.
• Supporting product launch activities, including the creation of user documentation, training materials, and client communication.
• Analyzing data and user behavior to assess the impact of new product features and identify areas for further optimization.
• Assisting in the creation of detailed product requirement documents (PRDs) and user stories to guide the development process.
• Participating actively in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Providing support in user acceptance testing (UAT) to help ensure product quality and reliability.
Required Qualifications:
• At least one previous Product Management Internship or Software Engineering Internship, with a preference for experience at a startup and/or a FinTech company.
• Ideally pursuing a B.A. / B.S. degree in relevant fields such as Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or similar.
• Demonstrated technological savviness and the ability to quickly grasp modern technology.
• Exceptional pride in work quality.
• Strong communication skills, emphasizing active listening and clear articulation of perspectives.
• Unwavering determination to achieve success despite challenges.
• Possession of confident, ego-less knowledge, an ability to discover unknown information, and openness to differing perspectives.
• Instinctive creativity in finding solutions to roadblocks, beyond just identifying problems.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Basic understanding of financial markets, investment products, and custodial services.
• Strong attention to detail, with a particular focus on user experience and product quality.
• Experience in data analysis using tools such as Excel, SQL, or Python.
