Job Description
This role is for a team member who will be part of a multidisciplinary team, primarily responsible for coordinating and implementing technical controls and configuration settings.
Key Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
• Performing and tracking cybersecurity awareness training.
• Assisting in the development and review of various critical plans and policies, including:
• System Security Plans (SSP)
• Personnel Security plans
• Disaster Recovery plans
• Incident Response plans
• Authentication Management policies
• Helping to develop detailed and thorough site survey report documentation.
• Providing assistance with device configuration for:
• Windows Operating Systems
• Applications
• Cisco IOS devices
• Ensuring compliance with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) guidelines, Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG), and other relevant standards.
• Applying operating system patches, service packs, hotfixes, and software/firmware updates.
• Supporting automated system software update methodologies and technologies.
• Conducting system vulnerability scans using tools like Nessus / ACAS and SCAP Compliance Checker (SCC).
Qualifications and Candidate Requirements:
• Must be working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Risk Management, or Cybersecurity.
• Possess effective collaborative skills.
• Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Exhibit excellent organizational skills with a strong emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and general office applications.
• The ability to obtain a security clearance is required.
