Mandatory Requirements: The Department of Energy (DOE) prohibits employees and contractors from having any affiliation with the government of a “country of risk” without explicit approval. Any such affiliations must be disclosed and recused from, or approved, prior to the start of employment.

Job Description: Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internships (SULI) Program
Overview:
The Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internships (SULI) program is designed to encourage undergraduate students and recent graduates to pursue science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) careers. It achieves this by providing research experiences at Department of Energy (DOE) laboratories, including PNNL.
Role:
Selected students participate as interns appointed at one of 17 participating DOE laboratories/facilities. They perform research under the guidance of laboratory staff scientists or engineers on projects that support the DOE mission.
Minimum Qualifications:
To be eligible for the SULI program, candidates must meet specific requirements established and verified by the DOE’s Workforce Development for Teachers and Scientist (WDTS) site:
• A current application must be submitted on the Workforce Development for Teachers and Scientist (WDTS) site.
• Additional SULI requirements are listed on the official DOE WDTS eligibility page (linked in the original job post).
• Applicants must be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident at the time of application.
Testing Designated Position: This position is not a Testing Designated Position (TDP).
Salary Information:
• Minimum Salary: USD $16.66/Hr.
