Year Round – R&D Undergraduate Intern | Sandia National Laboratories
The Tone:
This is a year-round R&D undergraduate intern position at Sandia National Laboratories, which can be remote from any U.S. State or District of Columbia. Sandia National Laboratories is the nation’s premier science and engineering lab for national security and technology innovation. Interns contribute to national security by supporting the development of AI solutions for enterprise IT and improving corporate operations, receiving competitive pay for their important work.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support AI Solution Development: Complete assigned tasks for the development of AI solutions in enterprise IT.
• Gather Application Requirements: Support the process of gathering requirements for Finance and Supply Chain enterprise applications.
• Develop Enterprise Applications: Assist with configuration and development activities for Finance and Supply Chain enterprise applications.
• Perform Application Testing: Contribute to the testing phases of Finance and Supply Chain enterprise applications.
• Support Application Operations: Aid in the operations and maintenance activities for Finance and Supply Chain enterprise applications.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently attending and enrolled full time in an accredited undergraduate program, pursuing a science, engineering, or math major. Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0.
• Experience: Ability to work up to 25 hours per week during the academic year and up to 40 hours per week during the summer.
• Skills: Ability to secure and maintain a U.S. security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
• Bonus: Pursuing a bachelor’s in computer science or related technical degree; experience with object-oriented programming languages and software testing concepts; excellent people skills with demonstrated ability to perform effectively in a teaming environment; active L Clearance.
