• Mission: Deliver crucial diagnostic X-Ray imaging services to support patient care within a medical facility.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Perform: Conduct a variety of diagnostic X-Ray examinations, meticulously following physician orders and standardized protocols to produce high-quality images essential for patient diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Operate: Expertly operate and maintain advanced X-Ray imaging equipment, troubleshooting minor issues and ensuring all machinery functions optimally for accurate and safe patient procedures.
• Position: Accurately position and prepare patients for each X-Ray procedure, ensuring their comfort, safety, and cooperation while achieving optimal anatomical visualization for diagnostic clarity.
• Collaborate: Actively collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to review imaging requests, discuss patient conditions, and ensure seamless coordination of care.
• Ensure: Diligently uphold all radiation safety regulations and infection control policies, safeguarding both patients and staff, and maintaining a sterile and organized imaging environment.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Possess a strong educational background in radiologic technology, ideally from an accredited program, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of human anatomy, physiology, radiation physics, and imaging principles. This foundation is critical for performing accurate and safe diagnostic procedures.
• Experience: Demonstrate practical experience in operating various types of X-Ray equipment and successfully performing a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures. This includes familiarity with different patient populations and clinical settings.
• Skills: Exhibit strong technical proficiency in radiographic positioning, image acquisition, and quality assessment, coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and the healthcare team.
