The WORLD Internship Experience: Surety & Bonds
Our meticulously crafted 10-week WORLD Internship Program is more than an introduction; it’s an immersive journey into the insurance industry, designed to cultivate the next generation of professionals. As a Summer Intern, you will gain an invaluable understanding of the intricate insurance distribution models and the complete brokerage cycle – from identifying and marketing risks to building service timelines, implementing requests, and expertly managing renewals.
For the duration of this enriching summer, you will be specifically placed within our crucial Surety/Bonds department at our Iselin, New Jersey office. This focused placement will provide you with specialized insights and hands-on experience in a vital area of our business, preparing you for a successful post-graduation career.
Key Responsibilities & Learning Opportunities:
Working closely with our experienced team in Surety & Bonds, you will contribute directly to critical operations, ensuring timely and accurate task completion while developing essential professional skills:
- Assist with the efficient processing of renewal ID cards and policy change requests.
- Manage carrier document attachments and facilitate the issuance of Certificates of Insurance.
- Shadow client calls and accompany Client Advisors or Carrier Representatives on visits, gaining first-hand exposure to client relationship management and industry interactions.
- Engage in essential data management tasks, honing your organizational and analytical abilities.
- Undertake additional projects and tasks tailored to your development, enhancing your overall understanding of the Surety/Bonds landscape.
- Cultivate positive relationships with clients and team members through dedicated advocacy, exemplary service, and professional communication.

Who We’re Looking For
We seek bright, motivated individuals eager to make a tangible impact and grow with us:
- Currently enrolled in a business program at an accredited university or college.
- Anticipated graduation in May 2027 or December 2026.
- Strongly preferred: Students enrolled in Insurance and Risk Management programs.
- Must be willing and able to work onsite at our Iselin, New Jersey office, Monday to Friday, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. (Please note: We do not offer remote internships for this program.)
- Prior customer support experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated strong organizational, administrative, and computing skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment; self-motivated and driven.
- Possess a strong sense of urgency and a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including active listening and problem-solving with minimal assistance.
- Adept at multitasking, prioritizing, and exercising discretion with sensitive information.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and positive attitude.

Compensation
This dynamic internship offers competitive compensation at $23 per hour.
