Job Description: Wish Planning Intern
This internship provides candidates the opportunity to experience the magic of Make-A-Wish firsthand by directly contributing to the wish planning process. Interns will work directly with our Wish Coordinators on the planning and execution of wishes.
Daily Assignments May Include:
- Researching travel information, vendors, special wish activities
- Filling out and sending wish paperwork for unique wish types
- Creating goody bags and itineraries to aid in the wish process
- Entering wish family data into our database
- Other duties as needed
Time Commitment:
- 10-15 hours per week (hybrid work experience)
- Includes at least one weekly in-office working day on Thursdays
- Duration: From early March 2026 through August 6th, 2026
Requirements:
Skills And Abilities:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Desire to contribute to the mission of Make-A-Wish
Preferred Qualifications:
- Coursework in Social Work, Events Management, Non-Profit Management, Medicine, and/or Nursing
Additional Requirements:
- Must be able to commute to our downtown Chicago office located at 200 W Monroe St, Suite 1801 Chicago, IL 60606 and be onsite Thursdays
- Minimum age for all internships is 18
- Selected candidates will be asked to participate in a criminal background check
