Summer 2027 Internship – Sectors | ING Americas

The Tone:
This is a full-time internship at ING Americas, located in New York, NY. ING’s Wholesale Banking division offers a broad range of financial products and services to domestic and international corporate and institutional clients. This role provides an opportunity to gain professional experience and a basic understanding of the wholesale banking business by participating in exciting projects and initiatives. • Mission: Assist sector professionals in originating, structuring, and executing new financing solutions for clients.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Origination: Assist sector professionals in the origination, structuring, and execution of new financing solutions.
• Analysis: Research and produce industry and market analyses for various initiatives.
• Presentation: Support the preparation of client pitches, presentations, and internal execution memos.
• Review: Review financial projections, sensitivities analyses, and due diligence materials.
• Collaboration: Liaise with other product specialists and departments within the Wholesale Bank, including risk management and capital markets.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree with an expected graduation date of Spring 2028, possessing a basic understanding of key financial markets and products, and good knowledge of financial analysis.
• Experience: Prior internship and/or relevant financial experience is preferred.
• Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), strong multi-tasking, analytical, and problem-solving skills, and excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to express ideas persuasively.
• Bonus: Financial modeling and credit writing exposure is helpful, and VBA and/or programming skills are a plus.
