What You’ll Actually Do
• Design: Format and fit web pages for user-friendly design and creative visual display across all desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
• Develop: Assist in building, maintaining, writing, testing, and debugging clean, scalable front-end and/or back-end code for websites and applications, utilizing technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and potentially frameworks like React or Vue.
• Optimize: Improve website navigation, usability, accessibility, user experience, site performance, and load speed, including basic SEO.
• Collaborate: Engage in team development processes, including sprint planning or code reviews, utilize version control with Git/GitHub, and assist in implementing APIs, databases, or CMS features.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled senior or junior college student pursuing academic credit in Computer Science, Web Development, IT, or a related field. The internship is structured to benefit the student’s academic and professional development.
• Experience: Demonstrated basic knowledge of web technologies and a commitment to completing the required 10-20 internship hours per week for 8-16 weeks. This involves gaining hands-on experience within a real-world professional environment.
• Skills: Foundational understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, along with a strong interest in coding, continuous learning, and developing problem-solving and debugging abilities.
• Bonus: Familiarity with specific web platforms, potentially including www.Website.com and www.Owrbit.com, will be advantageous.
