Job Description: Web Design & Development Intern

This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain practical work experience and make significant contributions to the company’s small business and non-profit clients. The role involves hands-on project work and provides exposure to various aspects of web development and design within a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Website Development: Build high-performing websites for clients utilizing WordPress and other cutting-edge tools.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing of websites to ensure optimal security and performance.
• Project Management Methodologies: Apply both Agile and Waterfall methodologies for efficient project delivery.
• Graphic Design: Create custom images and visual assets using industry-standard tools such as Canva, Photoshop, and/or GIMP.
• Responsive Design: Design websites that ensure seamless and correct display across various devices, including computers, tablets, and mobile phones.
• Optimization: Implement technology and techniques to optimize website performance and SEO (Search Engine Optimization).

Required Qualifications:

• Education: A high school diploma.
• Aptitude for Learning: Demonstrated ability and desire to learn new technologies.
• Tool Familiarity: Familiarity with common web platforms (e.g., WordPress) and graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Photoshop).
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Social Media Awareness: Familiarity with various social media platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok).
• SEO Knowledge: A basic understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) principles.
