Labatt Food Service, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, stands as the tenth largest foodservice distributor in the nation, operating an extensive and high-intensity logistics network. The company is instrumental in supplying a vast array of 14,000 items to food-away-from-home customers across Texas and New Mexico from its five strategically located distribution centers. This entry-level position is crucial for maintaining the operational efficiency and continuous flow of our distribution processes by ensuring the accurate and safe storage of all received products, directly contributing to our robust supply chain functionality and customer satisfaction.

The TL;DR

• Type: Full-time (Monday – Friday from 6:00 am to finish)

• Mission: Efficiently and accurately store all incoming received products to maintain seamless warehouse operations for Labatt Food Service.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Product Placement: Systematically and precisely put away all received products into their designated and appropriate storage locations throughout the warehouse using a center-ride.
• Equipment Operation: Safely and proficiently operate a center-ride, a key piece of material handling equipment, to efficiently transport and accurately position incoming inventory within the warehouse.
• Environmental Adaptation: Consistently and effectively perform duties across various temperature zones present within the warehouse, which may include working in ambient, refrigerated, or freezer environments as required by product specifications.
• Warehouse Organization: Actively contribute to upholding a high standard of cleanliness, orderliness, and accessibility within the storage environment, thereby supporting overall operational efficiency and preserving product integrity.
• Inventory Flow Management: Play a critical role in facilitating the smooth and continuous flow of incoming goods by ensuring their timely and correct storage, which is essential for supporting the subsequent stages of the overall distribution process.

• Experience: Absolutely no prior experience in a warehouse setting or any similar operational environment is strictly required, as comprehensive on-the-job training will be thoroughly provided to all new hires to ensure their complete success and proficiency in this crucial role.
• Skills: Possess the demonstrated capability to effectively adapt and work efficiently in diverse temperature conditions found throughout the warehouse. Candidates should also have the physical capacity and stamina necessary to perform various warehouse duties, including tasks involving consistent product handling and the operation of equipment.
• Bonus: Previous work experience that involves hands-on tasks or manual labor, such as roles like a Warehouse Worker, Warehouse Associate, Package Handler, Order Selector, Manufacturing, Factory Worker, Construction, General Labor, Laborer, Landscaping, Shipping and Receiving, or Material Handler, is considered a valuable advantage.
