Investment Banking Vice President – Technology | Citi

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Citi, located in San Francisco, CA. Citi is a global financial institution serving large corporate clients across a wide range of financial services. This Vice President position is critical for providing strategic financial advisory services, raising capital, and executing complex financial transactions for technology sector clients, acting as a key intermediary and advisor.

• Team: Investment Banking family within the Institutional Banking group, coordinating with the broader Institutional Banking team.
• Mission: Act as a strategic advisor to clients by formulating investment strategies and raising capital for them.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Execution: Assume significant responsibility for various phases of project and transaction execution, new business development, and overall firm growth.
• Capital Raising: Work closely with clients on financing transactions and guide them through the capital raising process.
• Transaction Advisory: Work with clients, senior-level team members, and outside professional advisors on M&A and special situation transactions.
• Document Preparation: Draft situation analyses, pitch materials, information memoranda, and investor and management presentations.
• Team Oversight: Oversee work performed by analysts and associates assigned to projects.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience in Finance or closely related areas of Business Administration, with comprehensive knowledge of the corporate banking business and its related products.
• Experience: 6-10 years of experience in the Financial Services industry, specifically within Banking, with exposure to large corporate clients, capital markets products, derivatives, credit, cash management, trade, finance, and securities products.
• Skills: Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills, and understanding of pertinent regulations and lending and credit approval processes.
• Bonus: MBA or Master’s Degree in Business preferred, Series 7 and 63 preferred.
