Vice President, Banker, Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) | Citi

This is a full-time role at Citi, located in San Francisco, CA. This role is essential for guiding clients through fundraising, providing expert advisory services for mergers and acquisitions, and driving the overall growth of the firm. • Mission: Act as a strategic advisor to clients by formulating investment strategies and raising capital for them.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Execution: Assume significant responsibility for various phases of project and transaction execution and new business development.
• Capital Raising Guidance: Work closely with clients to guide them through the capital raising process for equity or debt offerings.
• Transaction Leadership: Lead due diligence and drafting sessions while preparing clients for financing transactions.
• Strategic Advisory: Work with clients, senior team members, and external advisors on M&A and special situation transactions.
• Material Development: Draft situation analyses, pitch materials, information memoranda, and investor/management presentations.
• Team Oversight: Oversee work performed by analysts and associates assigned to projects.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience in Finance or closely related areas of Business Administration. This is a senior-level position. Comprehensive knowledge of the corporate banking business, related products, pertinent regulations, and lending and credit approval processes is required.
• Experience: 6-10 years of experience in the Financial Services industry, specifically within Banking. Experience with large corporate clients, capital markets products, derivatives, credit, cash management, trade, finance, and securities products.
• Skills: Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills; ability to lead due diligence and drafting; experience with M&A transactions; Series 79 and 63 licenses.
• Bonus: MBA or Master’s Degree in Business preferred.
