This Vice President position within the Investment Banking Division’s Natural Resources Group is fundamental for driving client success. The role requires a seasoned professional to develop and strengthen key client relationships, lead advisory teams through complex financial landscapes, and expertly structure and execute a diverse range of financial transactions, specifically within the Chemicals sector.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Modeling & Analysis: Create and rigorously analyze sophisticated financial models, providing critical support in the management of transaction processes and the strategic structuring of various deals.
• Transaction Execution & Valuation: Develop customized company valuation analyses and actively lead participation in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions, alongside facilitating fixed income and equity issuances for clients.
• Strategic Client Advisory: Organize and prepare comprehensive presentations that articulate industry trends, assess clients’ unique financial situations to provide necessary advice, and recommend tailored strategies to achieve their specific goals.
• Cross-functional Coordination: Coordinate effectively with diverse teams of tax advisors, auditors, attorneys, and internal bankers to ensure seamless execution across various complex transactions.
• Deal Process Leadership: Lead comprehensive due diligence processes, actively participate in the critical negotiations of legal documentation, and prepare essential internal committee presentations and funding proposals.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Hold a Master’s Degree paired with several years of dedicated Natural Resources investment banking experience; alternatively, possess a Bachelor’s degree combined with seven or more years of Natural Resources (specifically Chemicals) investment banking or equivalent experience within a related financial advisory capacity.
• Experience: Demonstrate a strong, proven track record of successfully executing both M&A and financing transactions, always within an investment banking advisory role, and include at least two years of experience in effectively leading deal teams composed of analysts and associates.
• Skills: Expertise in creating and analyzing complex financial models, performing customized company valuation analysis, active involvement in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions, proficiency in fixed income and equity issuances, strong organizational and presentation preparation abilities, coordination of multi-disciplinary transaction teams, and leadership in due diligence processes including negotiation of legal documentation.
• Bonus: A consistent history of outstanding academic and professional achievement.
