What You’ll Actually Do
• Transaction Leadership: Lead the execution of multiple mergers and acquisitions transactions concurrently, serving as the primary execution lead responsible for coordinating transaction workstreams, managing timelines, and ensuring high-quality execution.
• Process Management: Manage day-to-day transaction processes, including running due diligence, reviewing and commenting on legal documents, negotiating transactions, obtaining internal approvals, and proactively resolving execution issues.
• Financial Modeling: Develop and review complex financial analyses, encompassing merger models, discounted cash flow (DCF) analyses, leveraged buyout (LBO) analyses, accretion/dilution analyses, and other transaction-related work products.
• Client Presentation: Lead the preparation of client presentations, board materials, and fairness opinion analyses, presenting these strategic advisory deliverables to clients and internal teams.
• Team Development: Effectively manage, mentor, and develop Analysts and Associates, providing clear direction and timely feedback, reviewing and quality-controlling work product, and supporting their technical growth and professional development.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience in investment banking, M&A advisory, corporate development, or a related role at a leading financial institution, or a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Business Analytics, or Accounting with 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience: Demonstrated experience executing complex strategic transactions from beginning to end, coupled with proven leadership managing and developing junior professionals.
• Skills: Advanced financial modeling and analytical capabilities, a strong understanding of various valuation methodologies (DCF, LBO, accretion/dilution, public trading comparables, precedent transactions), excellent project management skills, strong written and verbal communication for effective interaction with senior executives and clients, and the ability to work independently within a collaborative team environment.
