Vice President, Investment Diligence | CAZ Investments

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at CAZ Investments. CAZ Investments provides exclusive access to unique alternative investment opportunities for successful families and a global network of co-investors, committing substantial personal capital alongside them. The firm operates with a compensation structure deeply aligned with investor profitability. This role is crucial for leading the Investment Management Team in the thorough evaluation and ongoing monitoring of investment opportunities, directly informing leadership decisions and contributing to the firm’s overall success in finding the best risk/reward opportunities.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Evaluate: Evaluate new investment opportunities across the full range of private markets.
• Monitor: Support the monitoring of existing investments across the full range of private markets.
• Due Diligence: Collaborate on initial due diligence processes for investment opportunities.
• Prepare: Prepare Investment Memos for presentation to the Investment Committee.
• Assist: Assist the Portfolio Management Team in monitoring and tracking existing investments and portfolios, including data gathering and analysis.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field, combined with expertise in alternative investments, including private equity, private credit, venture capital, and hedge funds. This includes strong research experience, financial knowledge, understanding of accounting, financial valuation, and underlying macro- and micro-economic forces and trends.
• Experience: 6+ years of investment industry experience.
• Skills: Strong leadership and project management skills. Exceptional organizational and written communication skills with exacting attention to detail. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel, and the ability to quickly learn and utilize quantitative modeling techniques.
• Bonus: CAIA, CFA or MBA is preferred. Experience in DealCloud and/or Caissa is a strong plus, as well as other data analytics software platforms. Demonstrates an entrepreneurial mindset and capacity to think outside the box.
