Vice President, Investment Banking // Industrials Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) | Portage Point Partners
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Portage Point Partners, located in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, New York, or Philadelphia. Portage Point Partners builds a cross-functional platform offering integrated solutions across the full business lifecycle for middle market clients. This role matters because the Vice President will assume a wide range of responsibilities, shaping strategy and influencing outcomes by leveraging the firm’s expanding platform to ensure seamless execution and delivery of all workflows essential to closing transactions for middle-market clients.

• Team: Reports directly to the IB Practice Line Leader, works with Associates to Managing Directors
• Mission: Ensure seamless execution and delivery of all workflows essential to closing transactions for middle-market clients.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Transaction Execution: Execute all deliverables necessary to consummate domestic and cross-border M&A transactions for middle-market clients.
• Document Creation: Lead the preparation of company valuations, financial models, company marketing documents, and client presentations.
• Client Support: Support the creation of client marketing materials such as Teasers, Confidential Information Presentations, and Management Presentations.
• Team Development: Provide coaching and mentorship to junior team members and lead internal trainings and best practice sharing sessions.
• Firm Building: Support business development, client relationship efforts, talent acquisition, and firm-building initiatives.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree from a top undergraduate program; Manager level career; core domain knowledge in Investment Banking with a focus on Industrials Mergers & Acquisitions.
• Experience: Seven plus years working for a top-tier investment bank at the Associate or Vice President level, with five plus years of Industrials experience.
• Skills: Strong financial modeling skills, excellent grasp of corporate finance and valuation methodologies (DCF, LBO, merger modeling, trading and transaction comparables), strong executive presence, and communication skills.
• Bonus: Series 79 and 63 licensing preferred or the ability to obtain within 120 days of employment.
