Vice President – Healthcare Coverage Banking | Societe Generale

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Societe Generale, located in New York, NY. Societe Generale’s Client Coverage mission focuses on offering clients a comprehensive range of solutions, particularly in strategic clients and investment banking. This Vice President position is crucial for the Healthcare Coverage team, directly contributing to senior bankers’ origination efforts. The role is essential for managing client relationships, generating new business, and delivering customized financial solutions across the healthcare sector, contributing to client growth and global platform expansion.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Origination Support: Support Senior Bankers’ origination efforts for both existing and prospective clients to generate new business.
• Team Management: Manage a team of Associates and Analysts, developing their skills in financial analyses, modeling, and research.
• Client Prospecting: Prospect within designated healthcare sub-verticals to onboard new clients fitting growth mandates and Societe Generale’s global platform.
• Transaction Execution: Present ideas, lead the execution of transactions from client sourcing through due diligence, negotiation, structuring, and closing.
• Cross-Product Solutions: Coordinate multi-product origination efforts across a broad range of investment and corporate banking solutions in various geographies.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Mid-level professional with expertise in investment banking, corporate finance, and/or capital markets.
• Experience: Minimum 6 years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, and/or capital markets. Experience with large corporate clients and financial sponsors, and investment banking products including M&A, equity capital markets, debt capital markets, derivatives, credit, cash management, and trade finance products.
• Skills: Superior communication and presentation skills, strong quantitative/analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in financial analysis (DCF, LBO).
• Bonus: In-depth understanding of the healthcare sector, previous experience as a coverage banker, Series 79 & 63 (expected to complete within five months of joining).
