Investment Banking Vice President, Business Services | Houlihan Lokey
The Tone:
This is a key leadership role at Houlihan Lokey, a leading global investment bank recognized for delivering independent strategic and financial advice to corporations, financial sponsors, and governments. The firm is known for its uniquely deep industry expertise, broad international reach, and a partnership approach rooted in trust, providing innovative, integrated solutions across mergers and acquisitions, capital solutions, financial restructuring, and financial and valuation advisory. This position is integral to the Corporate Finance division, specifically within the Business Services Group, which offers M&A advisory, capital raising, valuation, and corporate restructurings to public and private companies in the Environmental and Facilities Services sectors. The Vice President will manage significant M&A transactions and contribute to business development, playing a crucial role in the firm’s client success and continued market leadership.

• Mission: Own and manage all aspects of complex M&A transaction processes while supporting new business generation for the firm.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Transaction Management: Manage all aspects of a transaction process, serving as the day-to-day lead, and coordinating business due diligence to execute M&A transactions.
• Financial Analysis & Valuation: Manage the development of historical and projected financial analyses, explaining findings, and overseeing the development of valuation and ad hoc financial analyses.
• Marketing & Client Materials: Oversee the preparation of critical marketing pitches, confidential information presentations, management presentations, and other necessary client communications.
• Client Relationship & Business Development: Build and maintain direct relationships with clients, prospective clients, and professional advisors, assisting in the marketing and execution of existing engagements.
• Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior staff members, providing leadership and guidance throughout deal execution.
The Must-Haves
• Background: An undergraduate degree with an exemplary academic record from an accredited institution, coupled with advanced knowledge of accounting and finance.
• Experience: 6+ years of relevant investment banking experience, including extensive operational financial modeling, valuation experience, and hands-on M&A transaction execution.
• Skills: Strong analytical, quantitative, and technical abilities; excellent verbal and written communication skills; and strong public speaking and presentation skills.
• Bonus: Ability to manage multiple project deliverables simultaneously.
