• Team: Data Governance team, reporting to the Head of Data Governance & Data Officer (APAC)
• Mission: Drive the implementation and operationalization of the regional Data Governance framework to ensure effective data controls and compliance.
• Tech Stack: Alteryx, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Python, data cataloguing, metadata management, AI-enabled governance solutions

What You’ll Actually Do
• Framework Management: Support the implementation and continuous enhancement of regional Data Governance frameworks, standards, policies, procedures, and controls.
• Artifact Oversight: Own and oversee governance artifacts including Data Dictionaries, Key Data Elements (KDEs), Data Lineage, Metadata Management, and Data Quality Rules.
• Expert Advisory: Serve as a trusted advisor and senior Subject Matter Expert for APAC stakeholders on Data Governance, Data Quality, and Data Management related matters.
• Project Leadership: Lead Data Governance workstreams for regional transformation programs and strategic initiatives, ensuring governance requirements are embedded in project delivery.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Develop strong working relationships with Data Owners, Data Stewards, Technology teams, Compliance, Operations, and Business stakeholders to facilitate governance adoption.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Senior-level professional with a minimum of 8 years in Data Governance, Data Management, Risk Management, Compliance, or Regulatory Reporting within the banking or financial services industry.
• Experience: Proven experience implementing and maintaining Data Governance frameworks and controls, managing regional projects involving data quality or system transformations, and supporting audits or regulatory reviews.
• Skills: Strong expertise in Data Governance, Data Management, Data Quality, Data Lineage, and Metadata Management, coupled with excellent analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Bonus: Experience with data analytics, visualization, and automation tools such as Alteryx, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or Python, and exposure to data governance technologies, data cataloguing, and AI-enabled governance solutions.
