VP Corporate Finance – Communications (Digital Infrastructure and Technology) | Citizens
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Citizens, located in Charlotte, NC. Citizens Capital Markets & Advisory is seeking an experienced professional to join its entrepreneurial and fast-growing organization. This Vice President role is crucial for driving client engagements, originating, and executing complex debt, equity, and M&A transactions within the Digital Infrastructure and Communications Technology industry verticals.

• Mission: Serve as a key resource in client discussions and presentations, participating in the origination and execution of debt, equity and M&A transactions in the Digital Infrastructure and Communications Technology sector.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Lead Transactions: Play a leadership role in transactions including mergers and acquisitions, syndicated loans, high yield, initial public offerings, and other capital markets activities within the Communications sector.
• Develop Strategies: Develop relevant and actionable strategic and financing ideas, create thematic pitch content, and analyze relevant industry trends for presentations to existing and prospective clients.
• Cultivate Relationships: Help establish and cultivate long-term relationships with key C-suite decision makers within middle market and mid-corporate companies and financial sponsors.
• Execute Deals: Prepare and present offering materials to potential investors and rating agencies, negotiate critical structural elements, and act as a quarterback in all phases of transaction execution.
• Oversee Analytics: Oversee financial modeling and due diligence activities that support analytical decision-making.
The Must-Haves
• Background: 4 year degree from an accredited university, possessing an established investment banking pedigree and skill set.
• Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in investment banking and / or capital markets, with proven capital markets and M&A experience, strong capital structure acumen, and credit knowledge. Preference for industry knowledge and transaction experience within the broader Communications and / or Technology sub-verticals, along with Series 79 & 63 licenses.
• Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills with ability to interact with clients and internal decision makers; very strong quantitative and analytical skills; ability to manage projects independently and assume a high level of responsibility.
• Bonus: Master’s degree preferred, but not required.
