The Tone:
This is a full-time role at a leading Investment Bank, located in New York. The bank is a market-leading platform with a strong franchise in the investment banking sector. This role is crucial for an ambitious investment banker to join a highly regarded team, contributing to an active transaction pipeline and gaining exposure to prominent companies within the Aerospace & Defense sector. The individual in this position will play a key role in originating and executing strategic transactions while developing significant client relationships.

• Team: Aerospace & Defense Investment Banking team, reporting to Managing Directors, leading Associates and Analysts.
• Mission: To originate and execute a broad range of strategic transactions and develop long-term relationships with leading industry clients.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Execution: Lead the execution of M&A and strategic advisory transactions from inception through completion.
• Management: Manage due diligence processes, financial analysis, valuation work, and transaction documentation.
• Oversight: Oversee the preparation of client presentations, marketing materials, and financial models.
• Relationship Building: Build and maintain relationships with senior management teams and corporate clients.
• Mentorship: Mentor and develop junior bankers across the team.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Manager-level professional with core domain knowledge in Investment Banking, specifically within M&A and corporate finance.
• Experience: 6–7 years of Investment Banking experience with strong M&A execution gained within a leading Investment Bank or advisory firm.
• Skills: Excellent financial modelling, valuation, and analytical skills; strong communication and client-facing abilities; a proven track record of managing multiple live transactions simultaneously.
• Bonus: Previous Aerospace & Defense sector experience is highly desirable.
