Valuation Intern – Winter 2027 – Oakbrook Terrace, IL | Prairie Capital Advisors, Inc.

• Mission: Provide an in-depth look at advisory services, gaining exposure to business valuation, ESOP advisory, and corporate finance assignments while working alongside project teams.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Prepares: Prepare client deliverables including valuation reports, presentations, and confidential marketing materials such as pitchbooks.
• Conducts: Conduct industry and economic research relevant to client engagements.
• Assists with: Assist with valuation modeling projects, which may include discounted cash flow modeling, creating guidelines for comparable company analysis, transaction screening, and LBO modeling.
• Participates in: Participate in project discussions and internal team meetings.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Actively working toward completion of an undergraduate or graduate degree program majoring in finance, accounting, economics, or another relevant field of study.
• Experience: Completed coursework in Financial Accounting, Corporate Finance, or Economics.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments, and manage tight timelines in a team environment.
