The TL;DR

What You’ll Actually Do
• Safety: Prioritize safety in all tasks to protect yourself and the community.
• Administration: Utilize a laptop computer for receiving, documenting, and processing locate tickets and emails.
• Planning: Interpret maps and blueprints to determine the most effective methods and sequences for locating utilities.
• Operation: Operate provided locate equipment and technology to accurately identify underground utilities.
• Communication: Maintain effective communication with peers, managers, and homeowners regarding locating activities.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early Career level, must be eighteen years of age or older, with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Possess a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Skills: Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on speed and accuracy, comfortable working independently, and enjoys working outdoors in various weather conditions. Physical ability to walk up to 5 miles a day multiple times a week, carry up to 5 lbs of electronic locating equipment for extended periods, and lift objects up to 25 lbs (or in excess of 75 lbs with tool aids).
