Job Title: Unpaid Intern – 3D Environment Artist / Texture Artist

About T’sarE!

We are T’sarE! (Pronounced: “T’zar-ee”), a startup entertainment company currently focused on creating our first project: a 3D platformer video game.

  • Game Genre: 3D platformer, aiming for a nostalgic feeling similar to early ’90s and ’00s games.
  • Target Audience: Children between 5 and 12 years old.
  • Art Style: Cartoony and fun.
  • Game Features: 3 playable characters, 25 different worlds, and an intricate story outlining real-world struggles.
  • Planned Release: Steam initially, with later releases on Xbox, PlayStation, and Switch.
  • Current Status: Near halfway through production.
  • Team Size: Over 70 diverse individuals.

More detailed information about the game will be provided upon acceptance and the signing of our NDA and COC.

About the Internship

This is an UNPAID INTERNSHIP until further notice. Our current goal is to create a working demo to release to the public alongside a crowdfunding campaign. After the game’s release, this position has the potential to transition into a paying career for those who are interested.

Our team has been diligently creating game elements without financial compensation, and we are looking for hard-working, game enthusiasts to join us on this exciting journey.

What You Will Gain:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read assignments and understand provided references.
  • Create mood boards for various worlds and levels.
  • Create textures for 3D models.
  • Draw 3D environments, including turnarounds for specific parts.
  • Follow our established style guidelines (detailed in our Style Guide).
  • Utilize provided map layouts to understand level mechanics for specific projects.

Required Skills & Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of 3D modeling is essential.
  • Knowledge of orthographic view is very important for drawing 3D environments.

Workload & Deadlines:

  • Hours: 8 hours per week.
  • Deadlines: 4 to 5 weeks per project.

Internship Requirements:

  • Must have finished school/college.
