Restaurant Office Administrator | Mastro’s Restaurants

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Mastro’s Restaurants, located in an in-person restaurant setting. Mastro’s delivers an upscale steakhouse experience, renowned for premium USDA Prime steaks, fresh seafood, exceptional service, and elegant interiors with a lively atmosphere. This role is critical to supporting restaurant operations by managing essential financial reporting, ensuring cost controls, and maintaining compliance at the unit level. The Restaurant Office Administrator ensures the accuracy of daily, weekly, and period-end financials, directly contributing to the profitability and smooth functioning of the restaurant.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Oversight: Conduct thorough financial audits and meticulously maintain accurate, up-to-date financial records for all restaurant operations.
• Inventory Management: Perform detailed mid-month and end-of-month inventories, accurately reconciling all food, liquor, beer, wine, and general restaurant supplies.
• Data Administration: Maintain and consistently update critical operational databases, including vendor information, comprehensive employee records, staff schedules, PLU codes, and the restaurant’s recipe database.
• Payroll & Cash Operations: Process and maintain all payroll records to ensure accuracy and compliance, balance the restaurant checkbook, prepare and reconcile bank deposits, and manage adequate cash availability for daily operational needs.
• Compliance & Reporting: Ensure timely renewal of all required business licenses, permits, and regulatory certifications, maintain federal, state, and local labor law and HR postings, and assist with budgeting, expense tracking, and comprehensive financial reporting.

The Must-Haves
• Background: At least 2 years of administrative/bookkeeping experience in a full-service restaurant or hotel operation.
• Experience: 2+ years of experience in administrative and bookkeeping functions, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Skills: Bookkeeping, financial reconciliation, data management, organizational skills to meet deadlines, and ability to ensure positive financial results through daily, weekly, and monthly disciplines.
• Bonus: Stable and progressive work history with a strong work ethic.
