Job Description: Undergraduate Research & Development Internship
This is a 10-12 week summer internship starting either May 12th or June 16th, 2025. Interns are assigned projects based on their skills and the company’s needs. Projects are strategically and/or operationally important to the business. Responsibilities may include:
• Improving Efficiency and Benchmarking: Partnering with leadership to identify areas for improvement and benchmarking against industry best practices.
• Process Ownership and Improvement: Critically reviewing processes, recommending improvements, and learning continuous improvement methodologies (PPI, Six Sigma, etc.).
• Compliance: Aligning with company safety, training, and quality regulations (ISO compliance, GLP/GMP requirements).
• Technical Work: Executing experimental plans, analyzing data, contributing to technical reports and product summaries, investigating new methods/technologies, and maintaining accurate lab notebooks to protect intellectual property.
• Collaboration: Working with various departments, including Business Development, Quality, Operations, Technical Services, and Marketing, in new product commercialization.
Qualifications:
• Undergraduate student pursuing an Engineering or Life Sciences degree, graduating between December 2025 and June 2026.
• 0 years of work experience required; previous internships preferred.
• Demonstrated integrity, innovation, involvement, and intensity.
• Ability to champion change, achieve results, and navigate ambiguity.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and high emotional intelligence.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship. (F-1, J-1, H-1, OPT, and CPT visas are not accepted for this internship).
Compensation:
• hourly rate: $21.50 – $28.75 (dependent on location and cost of living). In California, the estimated hourly range is $21.00–$24.00.
• Relocation Stipend: $5,000 (if student lives 50+ miles from the internship location).
• Variable Annual Bonus: Possible, based on company, team, and individual performance.
