Job Description: Undergraduate Intern – Commercial Strategy Analyst (CSA) Program Internship – Summer 2026
This is a paid Summer 2026 internship program offered by Delta Air Lines. The program is specifically designed to accelerate the development of high-potential analysts. The internship aims to deepen interns’ understanding of Delta’s business operations, expand their analytical and professional skills, and provide opportunities for them to develop leadership capabilities. A significant incentive of this program is the potential for successful interns to receive a full-time job offer upon the completion of their internship, based on their performance.
The Commercial Strategy Intern will have opportunities to work within various key commercial divisions of Delta Air Lines. These areas include:
• Revenue Management: Interns will support the analysis of competitors’ pricing actions, help initiate pricing actions and promotions to maintain market share, and develop processes to streamline pricing execution. They will also support short-term initiatives focused on maximizing revenue through detailed analyses of passenger demand.
• Network Planning: Responsibilities in this area involve developing route structures, analyzing new city and route opportunities, and determining appropriate capacity responses to competitive actions. The goal is to maximize profitability by strategically aligning aircraft capacity with passenger demand.
• Customer Engagement, Loyalty and Marketing: Interns will contribute to developing promotion and channel strategies aimed at driving incremental passenger revenue, building customer loyalty, and enhancing Delta’s brand. This also includes designing improvements to Delta’s customer communications, loyalty program, and developing better customer segmentation strategies.
• E-Commerce/Distribution: This area focuses on maintaining the competitiveness of delta.com and its self-service functionalities. Interns will help develop online marketing strategies and identify new revenue streams through non-air partnerships for delta.com. They will also manage global distribution systems and relationships with third-party online travel agencies by leveraging new technologies to reduce distribution costs.
• Sales Analysis: Interns will be involved in analyzing the financial contribution of incentive programs offered to corporations and distributors. They will also contribute to developing new sales strategies designed to generate incremental sales for Delta.
• Reservations Sales Analysis: This role involves analyzing performance efforts to determine strategies that can improve customer service, enhance employee engagement, maximize cost efficiencies, and ultimately drive increased customer revenue and loyalty within the reservations sales operations.
Minimum Qualifications for the Internship:
To be considered for this internship, candidates must meet the following criteria:
• Must be a rising senior in an undergraduate program, with an expected graduation date of Spring/Summer 2027.
• Candidates who have already graduated and are employed full-time are not eligible.
• Must be enrolled as a full-time student pursuing an undergraduate degree at a 4-year academic institution.
• A minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4-point scale is required.
• The position requires the student to work full-time during the Summer 2026 semester. Students cannot actively take any courses (online or in-person) while working as a Co-op/Intern, which may potentially delay graduation by 1-2 semesters.
• Must be able to work on-site at Delta’s Atlanta, GA office for the entire duration of the Co-op/internship.
• Working as a Co-op/Intern does not guarantee a full-time opportunity at Delta Air Lines upon graduation. The program’s primary intent is to provide educational and professional work experience.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret data, use it to form concrete business actions, and present findings effectively.
• Must be a creative problem solver with a familiarity of economic concepts.
